Information About the Area from our Experts
Apartment Costs
Evelyn Troy - Real Estate Agent
Rental rates in Eastwood are average for the area. While Lincoln Park boasts rates three times the costs of Eastwood rentals, there are only a few lower, and are so by a small amount. On average, a one-bedroom apartment in eastwood rents for $585 monthly, two-bedrooms for around $800 per month, three-bedrooms for around $1,000 monthly. The neighborhood’s small town comfort within convenient distance to amenities and reasonable cost makes it no wonder why 67% of Eastwood residents are renters. Rates do tend to change over the year, rising in the fall when many students come to live, but only slightly.
Local Events
Evelyn Troy - Real Estate Agent
Eastwood is known affectionately as “the village within the city”. There is a strong sense of community, and residents work to maintain the village-like feel, including implementing zoning regulations, organizing neighborhood committees, and holding special events throughout the year. The city of Syracuse sponsors the holiday events, while Eastwood holds some more locally themed events, such as farmer’s and flea markets and Eastwood in Bloom planting markets, as well as Park to Park runs, Skate Parties at the local ice rink, and the annual Eastwood Market Day. All events and more eastwood information can be found at eastwoodneighbor.com.
