Noe Valley is right in the center of San Francisco, making commuting to other areas of the city easy, but outside slightly more time consuming. The area is not a heavy traffic one, as it is surrounded by mountains and is primarily residential. Noe Valley is 1.15 square miles, and with a population of 21,106, the population density is a high 7,107 people per square mile; foot traffic generally keeps the streets busier than cars. There is at least one street providing access outside of Noe Valley in every direction, several on the east side. There are two bus lines that run through downtown Noe Valley, 24 Muni and J Church routes.
Nightlife

There are around fifteen nightlife spots in the small, densely populated neighborhood of Noe Valley. Some are local restaurants that stay open late and cater to the drinking crowd after kitchen hours. The most popular of these are Basso’s and Noeteca, open until 9:30 and 11:00 pm respectively. Some of the most popular bars in town are Noe’s and The Valley Tavern, both relaxed pubs. Bliss Bar is a lounge, good for dancing and fancy cocktails. The Dubliner and The Peaks are also popular dive type bars. Many residents of Noe Valley are young adults, so these bars stay busy. Most have full bars and are open until 2am.
