The eastern border of this San Diego neighborhood is Interstate 15, and the western border is Interstate 805, both north to south highways that serve the coastal and inland area. Within the community , Mira Mesa Boulevard runs east to west, connecting both Interstate highways as well as the span of the neighborhood and beyond, carrying over 80,000 passengers daily. Camino Ruiz (north to south), Black Mountain Road (north to south), and Calle Cristobal (east to west), are major streets in Mira Mesa, making travel within the neighborhood easy. San Diego Transit and Metropolitan Transit System both serve the Sorrento Valley train station via the Coastal Commuter trail from North Country District Transit. The Coaster links Mira Mesa to Downtown San Diego, and from there, many more public transportation is available.
