This district experiences the most crime of the six in the city, seeing an average of 503 offenses per month.Campus Commons alone, however, is rated safer than 96% of all Sacramento neighborhoods, and shows a crime rate average 56% lower than the city as a whole. So, this neighborhood is a relatively safe one located among more dangerous ones, presenting a risk of 1 in 46 of being victimized by any sort of crime in Campus Commons.

Campus Commons is a Planned Unit Development (PUD) in the heart of Sacramento. Approximately 1,160 homes were built somewhat uniformly to create this nice, quiet community, acclaimed for its lush landscape, paved footpaths, and proximity to Downtown and Southern Sacramento University. The population here is approximately 2,340, most of whom are older adults; around 50% are between 55 and 84. This community is far less diverse than the rest of Sacramento, 88% are Caucasian, 9% are Asian, and all other races account for less than 1% of residents. 29% of residents make between $60k and $100k annually, and 15% make both between $40k and $60k, and $100k and $150k. Rent here is the most expensive in the area. This neighborhood is ideal for those who want to be in a large city, but want to be separated from the stresses that come with it.
