Cobbs Creek is one of the areas of Philadelphia where I would recommend researching the safety of the blocks surrounding the listing you’re interested in. Generally, the eastern part of the neighborhood is safer, near Cedar Park and Walnut Hill. The center of the neighborhood has the highest amount of crimes usually, although there are different numbers each year. There are many websites that will provide more in-depth analysis, or if you want you can contact me or any agent who specializes in this area. It’s important to know which blocks are safe in this neighborhood, especially if you have a family.

Residents who live in Cobbs Creek have jobs all over the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and some are employed locally in the neighborhood. But if you live here and are commuting every day, you should know about the transportation options. There aren’t any major roads that run through Cobbs Creek--the nearest one is Interstate 76, which is about four miles away. However, it’s a very easy drive there, as you only have to take two streets (Spruce and Market). These two streets are also the only two you need to get to Center City and the downtown area. If you don’t have a car, there is a subway stop in the neighborhood (SEPTA blue line) and a light rail stop as well.
