Big Oasis in Big Apple: Central Park
I love Central Park and so do other New Yorkers here living in this city. It is full of picturesque beauty of the natural green landscape and pastoral escape that Central Park provide which make us love to come over and over again during all seasons. There is nothing better than wandering ...
View GuideWhy Does It Cost So Much to Live Close to Central Park and How Can I Live Near there?
This is a question that everyone knows the answer to. And here it is: because you're near Central Park. Think of it this way: if you live or rent in The Hamptons where is it going to coast the most? The answer, as most people know, is the closer you are to the water (ocean or bay) the more ...

Crime & Safety
Jenna Christy - Real Estate Broker
Many of the negative associations between Central Park and crime still exist today, despite the fact that there isn’t much statistical evidence to back it up. In the ‘80s, there were about a thousand crimes a year in the Park. However, now there is rarely ever more than a hundred annual crimes. The Central Park Precinct of NYPD and the NYC Parks Enforcement Patrol have done great jobs of keeping the area safe, and though I wouldn’t recommend walking through the Park alone at night, the neighborhood is considerably safer than it used to be in past years.
Recreation
Jenna Christy - Real Estate Broker
One of the biggest perks of living in the Central Park neighborhood is that you are seconds away from arguably the city’s most popular destination during weekends in non-winter seasons. You can bask in the sun and read, sit on a blanket with friends, play frisbee, walk your dog, or do countless other activities in the Park. Not to mention, the Park is in the heart of Manhattan, which is one of the most desirable places to live in the country and is the absolute opposite of boring. If you want to find something to do outside of the Park neighborhood, the rest of the city is at your command.
