MyApartmentMap Neighborhood Expert - Property Manager
Bay View has a history rich in local art, and much of the recreation available help keep that alive. Kinnickinnic Avenue, particularly, provides many endeavors of the arts, such as art galleries (Studio Lounge, South Shore Gallery, Oscillations), and performing arts theaters (The Alchemist, Boulevard Theater). Outside of Kinnickinnic Ave., there are other venues such as the Cactus Club and Franks Power Plant showcasing many, including some local live bands. Many bars and venues also show and consign local art. The outdoor recreation in Bay View is also abundant. South Shore and Humboldt Parks each have recreation facilities such as horseshoe pits, softball diamonds, volleyball and tennis courts, fishing and ice skating/hockey rinks. The Beulah Brinton Community Center offers indoor fun for children and adults, including senior citizen activities, aerobics and youth play groups.
