In the ‘90s and ‘00s, Section 8 availability has risen substantially in West Price Hill. A lot of people are using this fact to explain why crime has increased here recently, but I don’t have the same negative view of it. I think that a lot of Cincinnati families who can’t afford housing in the city are able to settle here in West Price Hill with their vouchers, and I am in favor of it. West and East Price Hill have very similar demographics: East has 15,340 residents, West has 15,320, and East is only a quarter of a square mile larger than West. As for households that have two or more members (usually an indicator of families in the area), the East has 64.9 percent and the West has 65.3 percent. It’s tough to tell these two neighborhoods apart, both statistically and geographically, which is important when you’re looking at listings for the two areas. West Price Hill contains Bruening Park, Rapid Run Park, and the Dunham Recreational Complex.
