If Wrigleyville sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because it’s the name of the area that surrounds Wrigley Field, one of the oldest and most famous stadiums in the history of baseball. North Halsted is America’s first officially recognized gay village, and hosts the Chicago Gay Pride Parade every year. The LGBT community is also very present in Lakeview East, which has undergone a tremendous cultural shift with gentrification and revitalization. West Lakeview is a quiet neighborhood with affordable housing prices, and is one of the top neighborhoods for young couples in the city.

Looking to rent in Lake View? There are a few things you need to know first, vintage more than likely means it hasn't been updated. It probably also means it is a little less expensive. Expect to pay $1000 and up for a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment in this condition. You can save by living in a garden unit, but if budget is not an issue expect to pay about $1100 per bedroom, i.e. a 2 bedroom 2 bath in updated condition should be $2200 and up. Also expect to pay for parking which should be another $125 give or take

Arguably, the most popular is the Chicago Marathon in October, which spans the entire city, but a crucial stretch of it is run in Lake View on North Lake Shore Drive and North Broadway.
