Fort Lewis College is a small campus educating 3,709 students. 49% are female, 51% are male - so the campus gender is pretty balanced. As far as racial makeup goes 60% are Caucasian and 22.3% are Native American. Durango is a fair sized town at 16,887 people living within its borders. In the city, 42% of its residents were between the age 0-24, the population is relatively young here, so going to college here might be nice to meet peers Durango, Colorado doesn’t normally come to mind when you want to have a good night out, but they do have plenty of great places to spend the night! A great place to head to is the Diamond Belle Saloon. They have live music, and a full bar to wet your whistle. This place has an interesting theme, fake gun fights and wait staff dressed as saloon girls, this place is a pretty neat find. Popular with the college students is Orio’s Roadhouse, pool tables, full bar, it’s a great place to hang out after a good study session.

Rent growth in Durango over the past year has been declining. When compared to major cities nearby, along with some of the most expensive cities in the country, Durango average rent prices appear to be relatively affordable for local residents.
