I need to rent a room in SoHo for the final 3 months of the year. How do I go about doing this? Anyone here have some resources for me to check out? I understand this doesn't fall under the traditional "apartment rental" request.
If f you do have a room for rent, feel free to drop me a line.
I would start with Craigslist and see if you have any luck there. Also check out AirBnb.com which arranges for short-term rentals. However, I don't know if 3 months will be too long for that site.
Yes that is possible the only thing a person will tell you is that it is easier to look closer to the time that you have to move. There are always listings available, and short term is not a problem in NYC, there maybe a few options available to you, it all depends on your budget, the area you would like to live and how close you would like to be to transportation and other factors that determine price. But it really boils down to what can you afford
You need what is termed a "Short Term Rental." Chances are you will have to begin your search closer to the date you wish to move in as this is most likely the time when what you are looking for will come on the market.

Your best bet is to scour Craigslist. I know it's time consuming but even brokers don't have a lot of 3 month short term rentals.

Your best bet is to work with a knowledgeable broker, as it can be hard to find decent spaces in this kind of situation.
