Shopping, shopping, shopping?. Where is there good shopping in Midtown? It's my first time in the city and we're staying in Midtown (I'm so excited)! I have no idea where to go since we're never been here before. Any good suggestions for me and my boyfriend?

    • High End Name Brand
      E 48 Street to E 57 Street along 5th Avenue

      Diamond
47 Street between 5th and 6th Avenue (also called Avenue of the Americas)

Famous Time Square, all kind of stores there

59 St and Lexington Ave - Bloomingdale is there, can be consider Uptown or Midtown because 59 St is the dividing street

Herald Square, 34 St and 6th Avenue

    • Good shopping in Midtown is on 5th avenue between 50th and 59th Streets, and on Lexington & Madison avenue between 57th and 69th Streets. Bloomingdale's is on 59th and Lexington, Bergdorf Goodman is on Madison Avenue and 57th, Barney's is Madison and 60th, and then there are bunch of individual shops (rather than department stores) up Madison Avenue from 57th to the mid 60's. Hope that helps!

    • There are great places to shop in midtown, The Luxury corridor of 5th Ave. There is great shopping near Rockefeller center as well as new and big box stores now popping up in Times Square. New York has a lot to offer when it comes to shopping and it all can happen for the price of Metro Card ($2.25).

    • depends on what type of shopping, u have top brands on 5th avenue in the west 50's, Time Warner Center at Columbus Circle, Bloomingdales in east midtown area on Lexington and 59th street. You're centrally located for good shopping period.

    • Loads of shopping in Midtown! Fifth Avenue has brands you will recognize. Start at Central Park and walk South. FAO Schwarz, Tiffany, Saks Fifth Avenue. If you are more of a boutique shopper, head to Madison Avenue. Enjoy!

    • It depends on what kind of shopping and price point you are looking for. However, the following areas have a multitude of shopping:

      Madison Avenue
      West 34th Street
      Columbus Circle
      Midtown in the east 60's
      Soho

    • Shopping in New York City is very exciting thing to do! You can go to Macy's at 34 street and Broardway by taking subway trains B, D, F,M, N, Q and R. Getting off at 34 Street Herald Square. Or you can go to 5th Ave the whole block is full of Brand name stores. Enjoy!

Your boyfriend doesn't want to go shopping, trust me. What he needs are some good bars. If you are staying in Midtown, there are literally hundreds of good bars within taxi distance. You can thank me later for saving your relationship.

    • 5th Avenue is a good place to start. You can also walk along 57th Street and find a lot of famous brands.
