I am moving to Atlanta, from Milwaukee, in August to attend GSU. I would like somewhere within walking distance, but in a safe neighborhood. I am looking to spend between $600-700 for a one bedroom. Any suggestions or input about places I should check out or avoid would be most appreciated!

  Renaissance Walk is very close to GSU, but it's $900 a month for a one bedroom apartment. Their two bedroom apartments are $1300 a month. If you could find a roommate you could rent the 2 bedroom for $650 each.
