How is the public transportation? I'm being stationed in Portsmouth VA. My wife and I are thinking of having just one car. Anyone know if the public transportation is any good? If it is I'll look at apartments close to the stops.
The bus system here is great, is that what you were thinking of? Hampton Roads Transit provides service to Portsmouth. I used to take the bus every day to work, but my wife bought me a car for my 40th birthday so I've been using that instead. There's also a ferry service, for what it's worth. I hope I could help!
