I'm not sure what your definition of affordable is, but there are a few properties that are reasonably close the airport. To see them, search MyApartmentMap for properties in Midland, TX (the search box is available on the homepage). When the listings load, there is a feature called "Map," which allows you to see the locations of the apartments on a map. Then, just find the airport and look at the properties around it. Good luck.
