Renting an owner occupied apartment. I looked at an apartment in Pigeon Forge. The apartment was in an owner occupied house. Is this a bad idea? I don't really want my landlord to know my every move. Anyone out there rent in an owner occupied house?

I have friends who rent rooms in someone's house, or above-garage apartments next to a house and they don't mind it. Most of these properties will be blocked off or isolated in some way from the rest of the house so you can enjoy some peace and quiet. Obviously you'll still be in the same house (or next to it if you're above their garage), so it won't be total privacy, but you won't be rubbing elbows with them or anything like that. At least, that's what I've observed from my friends' situations, you should look into the situation and what the set-up will be like before you agree to terms. Good luck.
