My building has rats! So there are no rats in my apartment yet, but the building has rats. I saw them when I was in the basement doing laundry. Told the landlord and he said he would take care of it, which I don't believe him one bit. What can I do to insure the rats don't come into my apartment?
Set up rat traps in front of your door while you are gone or leave out rat poison for them to eat in case they come in. You could also call animal control and they may be able to remedy the situation for you or recommend an exterminator.
