JFK is close, according to driving directions online, it's about 8 mninutes by car. One thing to consider is traffic, allow yourself some time. I imagine you won't be driving now that I think about it unless you get free parking. Maybe leave your car at your place in Springfield and take a cab.
Springfield Garden is very very close to JFK. You can either go on the belt or conduit which i don't recommend during rush hr or simply take Farmers BLVD straight over to JFK.
