I am a working woman looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in The Bronx. I need help because its my first time looking for a apartment.
I am happy to help you with your search. There are currently no apartments available directly in the Bronx. However, there are countless apartments in the area. If you enter Bronx into the top search bar, you will see a ton of results. The 'Range' search bar at the top is set to include 15 miles surrounding your search. You can adjust it to closer, and include specific areas by clicking 'Nearby Cities'. You can also adjust the "Price Range' and 'Bedrooms' to narrow your search.
If you need further help after narrowing your search, feel free to resubmit your question.
Good luck, Terry
I would like to give you some general tips. The most important factor in looking for an apartment is your income. Landlords are looking for a tenant to earn 35 to 40 times the rent for the year. For example, if the rent is $1000 multiply by 35 or 40, which is 35,000 to 40,000 a year. The next thing landlords are looking for is good credit. An apartment lease is a promise to pay a set amount for the year in monthly installments. So a tenants credit should show that they have the ability to pay back loans and bills on time. When you know how much you can qualify for that will help you to determine what kind of apartment you can get. Then start looking, contact owners and agents. When you go out be prepared with your paperwork, (id, proof of income) so that you can apply for the apartment you like right away. Apartments in NY go fast. If you like it , someone else will too. I hope this helps. Good Luck
