I need help- I'm on section 8, and have been for 10 or more years. I'm in Long Branch now, but need to move closer to Red Bank. Also, I have to wait for sec deposit from this landlord for 30 days. I need that to move from here to another place. I would like to know if i can pay off sec while im waiting move, i work here for my landlord but really need to move to a place closer to shop and easier to Red Bank. Thank you. mary ann
Long Branch and Red Bank are about 15-20 minutes apart. The only places I can find that have Sec 8 available, are located at minimum, in Asbury Park, or Freehold, the opposite direction of Red Bank.
This doesn't mean that there aren't any available however, it just means they are commercially listed where I can access them. Your best bet is to call the Red Bank housing authority since that's where you ideally would live.
