Are there good places to fish in Dover, NH? I am moving to Dover in the Fall and would love to know if Dover has some good fishing spots. We will be living in the White Cliffs, West Gate, Meadows apartment complex area, so something in walking distance or a short drive would be great.
I see this question has already been answered. But, near the apartments you mentioned, nothing in walking distance, but a quick drive from a few spots.
Actually Dover is a great place to fish. The Cocheco River, which runs right through the center of town is a great place to drop a canoe in. You might also be interested in the reservoir which is found about 2 miles down Route 9/Littleworth Rd.
Between the river and the resevoir, there are definitely some great places to fish. If you are looking for something within walkin distance, pull up a map of your area and see what's nearby. I am familiar with a few streams and brooks near these complexes.
Watson Rd, off of County Farm Rd. Park at the bridge.
