I work in Cambridge but want to live in a more upscale residential neighborhood. I can pay $2000 a month on rent, must be near the T and highway, have a washer and dryer, stainless steel appliances, big master bedroom with spacious closet. Friends recommended looking in Medford or Malden.

You should also look in Watertown and Belmont. If you do not mind a 15 min drive you may find something in Winchester as well .
