Bonfire in my backyard this weekend. Landlord gave me the all clear, said I might need a permit. I am inviting everyone in my apt. building. Do I call the city for this? Or is it the fire department? Anyone know what types of questions they may ask?
There are a lot of stipulations for this, which you can see on the town's website. I'll get a link for you. It says that open burning is permitted November-April, so it depends when you want to have the bonfire I suppose. They also talk at length about getting a permit (presumably for outside of these months). Take a look:
