Help! Landlord trying to stick it to me. He leaves a handwritten note on my apartment door this AM, saying I need to be out in 2 days. I am seriously 3 days late on my rent and this is the first time. Is this even legal? Please, I am freaking OUT!!
Don't worry only a sheriff can evict you once the landlord wins the unlawful detainer in court. In order for the judge to approve this your landlord needs probable cause, and being 3 days late wont fly in a court. It's a very long process, your landlord is just trying to scare you.
