I'm looking for my first apartment and don't know how to start. I only need 1 bedroom and my friends told me to look in Northport but other than that I'm not sure what amenities are important to look at or how to examine a apartment. One thing i'm confused about is the application fee, do we have to pay that automatically even if we decide not to go forward with that place? I need a place in two weeks so my time is running out!
