WVU really looks out for students who are commuting to class. They have special lounges where commuter students who have to stay on-campus in between classes can hang out. These lounges are equipped with furniture, TVs, outlets to charge electronics, and internet. They also have commuter events like housing fairs, breakfasts, and pizza parties. The school knows that living off-campus can make it tough to have a healthy social life, and it can be hard on a college budget, so they try to help as often as they can.

WVU was ranked the #1 party school in the most recent Princeton Review list, and has been featured on the list 12 other times in the past 20 years. The school also has constantly landed spots on lists by other sources like Playboy. There are always parties happening on the weekends, and often on weeknights as well. There are events thrown by Greek life organizations, apartment/dorm parties, and of course, after-parties when one of the school’s sports teams play. Sports are very popular here, and the school’s teams are usually very successful (especially the football, basketball, and baseball teams). There are few places in the country more electrifying than WVU when one of these teams wins an important game.
