Depending on who you speak to, you’ll hear mixed things about southern Fort Worth. Generally, the feedback tends to be more negative than positive, but I don’t think it’s deserved. Sure, some of the homes are older and in rougher shape, but many of the neighborhoods there are restored and are housing young families and students. If anything, the community can look like it’s a scary place to walk through at night, but just because it looks sketchy sometimes doesn’t mean the crime is high. In fact, it’s not, and I would recommend this part of the city to any Tarrant County College student enrolled at their campus in the southern part of Fort Worth.

Tarrant County College’s campuses and class buildings are dispersed throughout Fort Worth, and all of them offer students a different view of the city and nearby areas. Their Trinity River campus is right near downtown and allows you to have a front row seat to all the culture happening around you on any given night. The southeast campus is past the city border in Arlington, and is also close to Dallas. The northwest campus is on a reservoir and has access to some of the best natural areas outside of the city. Every campus is suited for a different student, and depending on what you’re studying you’ll get to choose one and explore its unique access to the metro area.
