Public Transportation
University Rentals - Property Manager
Rhode Island’s public transportation agency, RIPTA, runs several bus routes that stop either on NEIT’s campus or around it. Students can use buses to commute from their rental to class, the beach, a park, or a nearby city like Providence (just ten minutes away). And because Providence is so close, a whole other array of public transportation options are available to students. Here they can catch trains, buses, or planes to virtually anywhere they need to go in the country. Warwick’s buses will help students with everyday commuting, and Providence is nearby for long distance transportation needs.

NEIT students live in a city with plenty of ponds, beaches, parks, coves, and views of the water. In the spring, summer, and fall it’s one of the best places to be in Rhode Island. Some places are just a mile away and you could walk to them (Apponaug Cove and the Warwick Mall), but others require a car or bus to reach. However, there are four coves and three ponds within 5 miles of campus, so you won’t have to travel too far. Warwick has an amazing city park located on Buttonwoods Cove, and another recreational spot (Park Point Park and Picnic Area) near Greenwich Bay. Students will be able to find things to do in the area during the winter, but will be spoiled in the spring through fall.
