Most college campuses have the usual quick-serve chains, like Subway or Starbucks, along with smaller pizza joints and cafés. But at Gannon, within footsteps of the campus and University Square, are a plethora of delicious restaurant options. Bertrand’s Bistro, El Toro Loco, Under the Clock, 1201 Kitchen... with all of these eateries within walking distance, students will always be tempted to skip cafeterias and quick-serve spots in favor a night out. But if you’re just looking for a pizza, Stevo’s and Papa Joe’s are sure fire bets.

Gannon University is located right next to Lake Erie, and on the warmer days early in the fall semester and late in the spring semester students will head out to the lake to sunbathe, jog, etc. Gannon is located in Erie, which is actually a pretty large city (over 100,000 people). However, some students drive to larger nearby cities on the weekend. Buffalo and Cleveland, despite being in two different states (Ohio and New York) are closer to Erie than Pittsburgh. But there are plenty of fun activities, culture, and on-campus events in Erie, and most students usually find things to do right in town or on the lake.
