Geraldo Vasques - Property Manager

The university has its own police force, and anytime you’re on campus you’re bound to see an officer or two patrolling the areas. Their presence is especially visible at night and on the weekends, when students are drinking and the campus can become rowdy, especially after sporting events. As for Eugene, it’s the second largest city in the state but certainly doesn’t feel like it. It’s almost like a college town atmosphere (at least near campus) and has many safe neighborhoods where off-campus students can live.

Most of the under-21 crowd at the university frequents the typical state school party scene. They start drinking in their dorms, and then head out to house parties or frat parties both on-campus and off. This can quickly get old for most students, and they look forward to when they’re 21 so they can go to the bars in Eugene. However, there aren’t as many bars as you would expect in a college city, and the club scene is virtually nonexistent. The best part about Oregon’s nightlife is the sports. The school has very popular and successful Division I teams, and nothing’s more exciting than the night of a big game. Also, Portland is relatively close, as it’s 90 minutes away.
