Most of the rentals in the area are around the same price--the rent in surrounding towns and cities only varies by a hundred per month or so. For example, the cost of an average two bedroom apartment is $613/month in Fairborn, $629 in Dayton, and $633 in Bellbrook. Neighboring are, as I mentioned, in the same ballpark. Xenia is $640 (average two bedroom), Tipp City is $579, Enon is $557, and Vandalia is $556. These are very reasonable prices; if you have a roommate to split a two bedroom with you, you would each only have to pay $200 or $300 per month for rent, depending on extra costs like utilities and heat.

Some students at Wright want a different pace than the main campus’s suburban setting. To experience city life without having to commute too far, an apartment in Dayton is a popular option. The city is just six miles west of campus, and if you have a car it isn’t a difficult commute at all. Most of it is done on the interstates that weave through the area, I-75 and I-675. Wright State’s campus is less than a minute away from 675, so you’ll be able to avoid any local traffic by hopping on and off every day. There may be some congestion on the highways, but with a six mile commute it won’t be too much of a concern for you.
