Cincinnati is a large city, where crime tends to be a bit higher. However, there are a total of 1,310 police officers to keep you safe - this averages about 3.9 police officers per 1000 residents. As far as crime statistics go, the total of violent crime in the city comes to 1,086 per 100,000 people, and property crime is at 6,172 per 100,000 residents. The violent crime rate in Ohio is 45% lower than the National average. On campus, there has been 9 illegal weapon’s arrests, 44 drug law violations, and 13 liquor law violations in the past year or so.
Traffic & Commuting

You will run into multiple problems if you drive to and from campus. Cincinnati is very congested and can be a real irritation to manage. Situated between I-71 and I-75, the campus is not hard to find or get to. However, with the traffic issues on both of those interstates, if it’s possible, public transportation might be easier and more convenient for the student if they are commuting to and from campus.
