The closest bar I know of to NYIT Old Westbury, is The Barefoot Peddler, in Greenvale. Hendrick’s Tavern and the Chalet Restaurant are both nearby, too, in Roslyn. South, in Westbury, Houlihan’s, Chi Dining, and the City Cellar are popular locales. These bars in the area are generally crowded, since LIU, SUC, Queensboro Community College, and Netherlands North Hofstra are all within a 20-minute radius with students seeking nightlife fun as well. For more entertainment options, NYC is a 40-min car ride (around 1 hour 45 minutes using public transportation).
