Public Transportation

Public Transportation

Geraldo Vasques - Property Manager

There are two subway stops a block away from Fordham’s Lincoln campus: one on 59th Street (Columbus Circle) and one on 66th Street (Lincoln Center). The Columbus stop serves the A, B, C, and D lines, and the Lincoln station runs on Lines 1 and 2. And, best of all, the subway runs 24 hours so students aren’t restricted to limited hours like in other cities. The city’s public transportation, one of the best in the world, can be used for commuting purposes, but also for getting to any other area of the city for fun on the weekend. Going to school in the Big Apple is great because of how much there is to do in the city, but none of it would be possible without public transportation.

Academics should always be the most important aspect of college, but it’s hard to ignore how much there is to do at Fordham’s Lincoln campus. It has a perfect location in bustling Manhattan, next to Central Park and less than a mile away from Times Square and the Theater District. This isn’t just a paradise for students, but it’s considered one of the trendiest and hottest downtowns in the entire world. Broadway is a short walk away, there are nearby music venues like the Madison Square Garden that attract the biggest entertainment names in the world, and any restaurant, bar, club, museum, or sporting event that you want to go to in the city is accessible via public transit.
