Despite its small size, Mays Landing has a few good places to eat. Sugar Hill Sub never leaves a customer unsatisfied, and Crabby’s, while expensive, has the most delicious crab legs. The best sushi is found within Sakura, which also has a full bar, and a chef who prepares part of your dinner in front of you. Maplewood is easiest the best Italian restaurant, and the Inn at Sugar Hill is a beautiful location for a fine dining experience. At ACCC, the culinary students prepare meals for the restaurant, which is well-liked, and preferred over the cafeteria food. Mays Landing is a pretty average four-season town. March and August see more rain than any other months, while February and June see the least. It gets somewhat humid August through September. August and September are the sunniest months, and December probably has the most overcast days. The only natural disasters to strike New Jersey are hurricane- and flood-related, with the occasional serious Nor’easter dropping snow.
