Information About the Area from our Experts

Public Transportation

Public Transportation

Off Campus Housing Assistance - Real Estate Agent

BU has better public transportation access than any other college in Boston. The campus is served by the Green Line’s B trains, and has three of its own stops (Boston University East, West, and Central). The stops of Kenmore, Blandford Street, and Fenway also can take students to different parts of campus. Fortunately for off-campus students, the Green Line extends into popular student neighborhoods like Allston, Brighton, Mission Hill, and Brookline. To get to class, you can just hop on the T. Buses also serve the surrounding areas and are viable transportation options as well.

A student at Boston University can look to any part of Boston for a good time on the weekends. Colleges like MIT, Northeastern, Harvard, and BC are always having parties, the Theater District has the best shows in the city, the North End is home to the best restaurants, and, of course, the BU campus is always alive. This is due to it having the best sports venue in the city, Fenway Park, and one of the best music venues, the House of Blues. In the winter, the Agganis Arena is a popular spot because of the BU hockey team, and Kenmore Square has a variety of fun activities. Unlike many colleges where the nightlife is contained in their campus, BU students have an entire city to play in.
