There are many places to eat on campus a UWF. At the Commons, there is the Nautilus Market Grill, the Argo Galley, a Quiznos, Chick-N-Grill, and an OutTakes Quick Cuisine. Elsewhere on campus there is a Papa John’s, a Starbucks, the Bistro Blue mobile cafe, 3 OutTakes coffee shops, and a sub shop. The cafeteria food is well-liked, but if you want to get off-campus, there are plenty of places to eat locally in Pensacola as well. For fresh seafood, definitely check out Joe Patti’s Seafood or Peg Leg Pete’s Oyster Bar. McGuire’s Irish Pub is a favorite, and the decor is extremely unique (there is money stapled all over the walls!) Be prepared for it to be packed in there, but many will tell you it’s well worth the wait. The best pizza can be found at The Tuscan Oven next to the Courtyard Apartments.

Pensacola offers tons of apartment options, most at really impressive prices, and a good amount of them are pet friendly, too. One bedroom apartments start around $450/month, though the average is around $670/month. If you’re really searching for the lowest prices possible, you might consider apartments in Pace, Florida, about ten miles away, where average apartment costs run a little bit cheaper. If you want to stay close to the UWF campus, the Fountain’s Apartments, Waters Edge, Jasmine Creek, Eaton Square, and Creekside Apartments are under two miles away.

The University of West Florida is located in Northeast Pensacola off 9 Mile Rd. and University Pkwy, and less than 10 minutes from Pace, FL off Hwy 90 and I-10 off Scenic Hwy. 9 Mile Road tends to develop heavy traffic during peak commuter hours so make sure to plan accordingly!
