Despite a small population of less than 10,000 residents, the crime rate in Glenwood Springs is surprisingly high. The number of sex offenders is very low, at four, and many years go by without a murder. Only a few sex offenses happen annually, as do auto thefts, and arson is even rarer. However, there is a lot of theft and burglary. The chances of becoming a victim of property crime in Glenwood Springs are 1 in 20. The majority of crime in Glenwood Springs takes place around Cardiff, Grand Ave, and 8th Street.

The nightlife in Glenwood Springs is not super active. Residents enjoy grabbing a beer at Glenwood Canyon, Double Dog Pub, and Big Daddy’s, and Loyal Brothers is a surprisingly cool nightclub, but otherwise, you’ll have to leave town for some more options. Grand Junction is about an hour and a half away, and really, everything in Colorado is far apart. It takes a good hour to get anywhere, and most of those places have dive bars too. If you wanted a bustling nightlife and eclectic cultural experience, you came to the wrong place!
