The First Annual Latin Jazz Music & Dance Festival is coming up in February 2013, with Hobby Expo 2013 the weekend preceding it. The Sonoma County Book Festival happens in September, as does the Santa Rosa International Film Festival, and the National Heirloom Expo--The World’s Pure Food Fair. About 168,000 people live in Santa Rosa, California. About 60% of the population is White, 29% is Hispanic/Latino, 5% Asian, 2.5% Black, 2% Native American. Over 30% of households in Santa Rosa have children under 18 living there, and 44% of households are married straight couples. In the Apple Valley and Papago Court area, the population is 87% Hispanic. About 4,200 people work for the county of Sonoma, 2,400 work at Kaiser Permanente, 2,200 at St. Joseph Health, and 1,300 at Agilent Technologies. At SRJC, around 60% of students are female and 40% are male.
