Crime & Safety

Crime & Safety

Kiona Gould - Real Estate Agent

At Mt. SAC, students feel very safe, and feel that there are always security officers patrolling, escorts available, and the strategically placed emergency phones lend to the secure atmosphere. There are occasional reports of cars being broken into, but in general, students are not worried about criminal activity on campus. In the town of Walnut, crime is low, too. A murder occurs only once every few years, and nearly as rare, cases of arson or forcible sex offenses. All types of crime in Walnut occur at a lower rate than both the national and California average. Walnut is a very safe place to live and crime is not something on the minds of its residents.
