This campus is serviced by Golden Empire Transit (GET), GET’s route 21 will get you east and west between the campus. Route 22 goes north and south and gets you to campus in a timely fashion. These two routes operate every 15 minutes on weekdays from 6am to 11pm, and run for a limited period on the weekends. You can also take your bike with you on the bus, the driver will give you a bicycle reminder card so you can give it back to the driver so the driver knows to wait while you unload your bike.

There was a few instances of property theft on campus, but all other instances of crime were low. Bakersfield is safer than approximately 8% of the cities in the country, and a chance of you being a victim of crime is 1 in 20 according to recent statistics. There is also an anti-gang program conducted by the city, because of its growing gang-related violence rate. You are probably safer on campus, so don’t let the crime rate deter you from going there.
