Murray Hill is an area of Manhattan that is located in Midtown. Depending on who you ask the actual boundaries are the same. Some describe Murray Hill as 34th Street to 42nd Street, Madison Avenue to the East River. The City Planning Commission demographer defines the area as 34th Street to 40st Street, Third Avenue to Madison Avenue.

Now that we've cleared that up (sort of) it's important to know the pros and cons of the Murray Hill. Buyers (and renters) can get great value for their money in this part of town. The downside is that Murray Hill doesn't feel like a neighborhood, but rather a lot of buildings near Midtown office buildings. This is changing because many new businesses have moved in to provide all the services one needs to exist in Manhattan. And as far as beeing close to a major transportation hub, Murray Hill is located a few blocks from Grand Central Station.
