Springfield has a high concentration of restaurants near the center of town on both sides of I-95. The top restaurants in the area are Mike’s American and El Paso Mexican Restaurant. Mike’s American is known to please all of their customers and have excellent service and is known for their crab cakes, grilled pork chops, and the prime rib special. El Paso Mexican Restaurant is known to have the best Mexican food in the area and have authentic cuisine with incredible enchiladas and chile rellenos.
Traffic & Commuting

Springfield is traversed by I-495 and I-95, causing a high flow of traffic through the city and can create many traffic issues. However, the interstates make it very easy for residents to access all nearby areas and commute to Arlington, Annandale, and DC. Annandale is right next to Springfield, so the commute is very easy and most likely should be done using back roads rather than the highway in order to avoid traffic. The commute to Arlington takes about 20 minutes in light traffic, but will most likely take 30 minutes with traffic. The commute to DC takes a little longer and will normally take about 40 minutes in traffic.
