The traffic within Coppell is very light and desirable since no major freeways pass directly through the city. However, accessing Dallas and other nearby areas is very easy, as many major freeways run along the outskirts of the city. Commuting from Coppell to Dallas takes about 40 minutes for the 22 mile drive, depending on the amount of traffic. Also, Coppell is conveniently located next to the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, making traveling out of state very simple. Coppell used to be served by Dallas Area Rapid Transit, but has not been served for a number of years, making traveling without a car quite difficult.
