If you are a pet owner and looking to reside in Teaneck, there are few options for you. Of the research we have done, Sheffield at Englewood South (which is located in Teaneck, not Englewood) allows cats and dogs of all sizes. Rent is comparable to surrounding complexes, and no additional fees are required for pet owners. Sheffield is a luxurious complex with most amenities as well as very convenient transportation options to New York and other surrounding cities. Heritage Pointe of Teaneck also allows cats and dogs upon approval (small dogs ok). This is a retirement community, also very luxurious and loaded with conveniences including an on-site chef and maintenance crew. More locations may become available in the future.

Nightlife

Being as close as it is to New York City, there will never be a shortage of options for nightlife in this area. However, if you want to stay close to home or just check out this neck of the wood, with shorter lines and less expense, there are some great options right in Teaneck. Zen Den and Ultrabar are both very popular for a club night, both with djs spinning a mix of latin music and top 40 hits. The Cottage Bar is an Irish pub, good for a relaxing time and a couple of beers. Wednesday night is their busiest; karaoke night! Mexicali Blues is the real gem of Teaneck. It is a live music venue where folks can eat, drink, and dance. They have booked some large acts, making for a wild concert atmosphere, but on nights with not-so-big acts, it can become more of a cool bar with live music. All are worth checking out, nights in Teaneck can feel like one in NYC.
