The Village of Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department sponsors many different activities for children and adults of all ages. Regular sports teams are organized throughout the year, including some interesting ones such as roller hockey, karate, and lacrosse. They also offer classes in the arts, such as acrylics, dance, chinese language, aviation, calligraphy, and more. Adult programs include soccer, softball, acrylics and watercolors. There are senior citizen activities organized regularly as well. Graydon Pool, which is actually a man-made lake, offers swim teams, memberships, and various activities such as story time and yoga. There is plenty more fun for adults to, as Ridgewood boasts a dance studio, art galleries, and numerous performing arts theaters.
