Commuting to and from Passaic is relatively convenient. Routes 3 and 21 pass through the city and service most local roadway travel. The Garden State Parkway and Interstate 80 are both very close, and prove more convenient for long distance travel. Public transportation is also readily available in Passaic; bus service from provides transport to Newark, Paterson, Rutherford, Clifton, Garfield, Wallington, and Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. There is also a train station in Passaic with lines to Hoboken and Secaucus, allowing connecting rail service to Penn Station in New York and Newark Airport, as well as northbound trains to Paterson and Ridgewood, and New York cities Suffern and Port Jervis. There is a commuter jitney bus in town, but it does not run on an official schedule, so routes are not predetermined. Whether you choose public or personal travel options, commuting is relatively easy in Passaic.
