New Jersey Transit provides Linden with bus service to all major surrounding cities as well as local services. Routes 56 and 57 provide service to Elizabeth, routes 62 and 94 provide service to Newark and Perth Amboy, and routes 112 and 115 provide interstate service to Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan. The Linden Train Station also serves the city. Linden is right in the middle on the Northeast Corridor Line, which travels from Trenton to Penn Station in New York City. Access to the North Jersey Coast Line is available through transfer in the next stop of Rahway. In the case of a more serious commute, Newark Liberty International Airport is just 15 minutes from Linden by road, and two stops North by train.
