Public Transportation
Midwest Rentals - Property Manager
Omaha is a city that’s mostly dominated by automobiles (92% of the public drives a vehicle to work every day), but there are certainly other options. Buses provided by city-owned Metro Transit services Omaha, as does Amtrak trains and Greyhound buses. Most notably, there are 80 miles of trails that weave through the city, which many people use for biking, walking, and jogging, for both commute and recreation. The trails are constantly being expanded, and future plans are to have a connecting trail system with St. Louis, Topeka, Lincoln, and Kansas City. So while driving is the main mode of transportation here, walking and biking are increasingly viable options.

Nightlife
Saul McGill - Real Estate Agent
Some people might think Omaha doesn’t have a nightlife, well they thought wrong. Omaha has plenty of drink spots to congregate at. Maybe if you have a late class on Friday afterwards you could hightail it down to Krug Park where a cozy atmosphere helps you relax after a long day of work and studying. If you’re a cigar aficionado, you might want to check out Jake’s Cigars and Spirits. An unique joint that has a great beer selection and a cigar room where you can pick and smoke your favorites.
Recreation
Midwest Rentals - Property Manager
Omaha has just as many attractions as any of the larger U.S. cities, if not more. It has a well-known performing arts community, highlighted by the Omaha Community Playhouse, which is the biggest community theater in the country, the Holland Performing Arts Center, which is home to city’s symphony orchestra, and the Orpheum, the home of the city’s opera company. There are a number of great museums in the city, such as the Omaha Children’s Museum, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, and the Durham Museum. Also, every year, the city hosts the College World Series, which is the championship for the NCAA’s Division I college baseball teams. The event is well-known around the city and always has a huge turnout. Rest assured, there are a lot of things to do here on any given night.
