The Community Activities, Recreation & Services department of Brooklyn Center has provided a variety of activities and places to keep kids and adults alike in shape. There are 522 acres of parks and 20 miles of trails. Whether you want to take your children or friends out for a picnic, or go for a run to stay in shape, there is plenty of recreational area to spend the summer in. There is also a community center with an Olympic-sized pool (swimming lessons offered) and exercise room. Finally, the Centerbrook Golf Course is a 9-hole course that can be used for tournaments or practice. With all the recreational amenities offered in Brooklyn Center, it’s almost impossible for residents to be bored or stay inside.
